About Frontline

“We know Veterans are fully capable of navigating the VA system for disability benefits. I’ve done it myself. But I also learned the hard way: it can be confusing, frustrating, and time-consuming.

The truth is, the VA isn’t broken. It’s just overwhelmed.

I faced four key challenges that cost me time and peace of mind. Now, solving these challenges is our mission.”

Dr. Dan Pelton is a board-certified clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience and the highest level of professional credentialing in his field.

He served on active duty in the U.S. Army, providing psychological care at military hospitals including Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Fort Johnson (formerly Fort Polk). As the lead combat psychologist for the 4th Brigade of the 10th Mountain Division, Dr. Pelton deployed to eastern Afghanistan, where he was the sole psychologist supporting an infantry combat brigade. There, he treated thousands of soldiers, conducted psychological evaluations, and advised command leadership—developing deep expertise in military policy and mental health care under pressure.

He later served on staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he trained Army and Navy psychologists to meet the unique psychological needs of service members preparing for overseas combat deployments. Today, he continues to champion veteran mental health—combining clinical expertise, operational insight, and a deep, personal understanding of the challenges service members face.
